According to Indian media reports, the incident occurred on Monday evening near Vohlana Chowk in Rehmatpur village—an area falling under the jurisdiction of the Bhopa Police Station, approximately 25 kilometers from the district headquarters.

The deceased has been identified as Vikas, who worked as a ‘token man’ at the Uttam Sugar Mill. Reports indicate that a mobile phone in his shirt pocket suddenly exploded with a loud bang, causing him to lose his balance on his motorcycle and fall onto the road. He sustained severe injuries to his head, chest, hands, and other parts of his body.

Vikas’s father, Ravinder, stated that his son was his only child and was married. He leaves behind two children: a six-year-old daughter named Drishti and a three-year-old son. According to his father, Vikas had taken his mother to his maternal uncle’s house on Monday. While returning home on his motorcycle that evening, the accident took place.

“He was my only child. He leaves behind two young children—a six-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son.”
