You have likely seen superheroes and villains flying through the air in movies many times, but what if the hoverboard used by Spider-Man’s formidable foe, the Green Goblin, were to become a reality? A young vlogger from China has managed to do just that—building an electric hoverboard and using it to cross the Yangtze River.
Leveraging his skills and experience, Song Sheng Yu developed an electric hoverboard—and used it to cross the Yangtze River. His initial attempt, which involved a jet engine, failed when it caught fire; however, he did not give up and went on to build a new model powered by ten electric motors.
After practicing how to maintain balance using an AI system running on two mobile phones, he successfully completed an aerial journey of approximately 300 meters in just two minutes.
