In Karachi’s Defense area, a boy and a girl were found unconscious in a car parked in a workshop. When both were shifted to the hospital, the girl died, but the boy survived. After regaining consciousness, the police asked the boy who the girl was, what his relationship with her was, and what had happened. How did both of them faint?
The boy recorded his initial statement. What he said will surprise and worry you because what we are thinking is not like this. The incident is something else. The police also made similar observations. In this regard, a statement from the concerned SP was released, raising many questions about the case.
Who was the girl who died? Where did she live? What was her relationship with this boy? How did she go alone to the workshop?
They reached Karachi’s Defense Phase 2 area where they live. The husband’s name is Kashif, and his wife’s name is Amina. Kashif and Amina have three lovely children. They live in Shireen Jinnah Colony, Karachi. Kashif owns a workshop in Defense.
On the 4th, at 8 am, Amina’s elder sister, Javeria, called Kashif. She told her brother-in-law that she needed to go to her friend’s house and asked him to drop her off. Kashif agreed and told her he would take her there. Javeria informed her family, and they approved, saying there was no problem.
At 8 am, on the 4th of November, Kashif arrived to pick up Javeria. He took her from his in-laws’ house and went to his workshop. Javeria asked if they were going to her friend’s house, but Kashif said he had a small task at the workshop. The workshop was empty at that time.
Kashif parked the car, which was started, with the AC on. After a few hours, the employees of the workshop arrived and saw that Kashif’s car was still running. They peeked through the window and saw two people lying unconscious inside. They broke the glass and called the police and rescue services.
Both Javeria and Kashif were shifted to Jinnah Hospital. The doctors declared Javeria dead, while Kashif survived and was treated. The police inspected the car and confirmed there were no drugs or suspicious items. The workshop was sealed for investigation.
After treatment, Kashif regained stability, and the police questioned him. He explained that Javeria was his sister-in-law and had asked him to drop her at her friend’s house. Kashif said he had parked the car and kept it running, but suddenly carbon monoxide gas filled the car. He tried to open the door and windows but failed, eventually fainting.
Javeria’s family also gave a statement, saying their daughter had gone with her brother-in-law after informing them. They expressed no desire for legal action.
SP Clifton reported that there were no signs of violence or poison in Javeria’s body. They ruled out poisoning, as there were no marks or spots on the body. A post-mortem was conducted, and the police suggested that the death might have been caused by carbon monoxide gas. They awaited the report for further clarity.
Now, based on everything shared by Kashif, the police, and Javeria’s family, this is the narrative. However, my experience tells me that something feels off. Sister-in-law asking a brother-in-law for help isn’t unusual—it happens like siblings. But still, questions arise.
